I was really looking forward to this one as I have never photographed a wedding in the lake district and usually do most of my wedding photography in Newcastle. Dave and Bev were having a very intimate wedding with only parents and a select few friends in attendance. Great I thought, until I heard the ceremony was being performed outside. Now I know it’s the middle of June but it is the lake district! the rain capital of the UK. And guess what, I wasn’t wrong, my journey to Windermere through torrential rain and a failing sat nav was fraught to say the least.
But low and behold just as I pulled up to the venue the sun came out and stayed out for the rest of the afternoon.
Their day went smoothly and was uber relaxed, which meant it was a joy to be there and to photograph especially when you are surrounded in such a beautiful location, it’s a photographers dream.
